Prior to Veterans First Mortgage®, Tyler Ashby worked as an assistant program director at a youth group home. Looking for ways to more quickly advance his career, he joined the Veterans First Mortgage® family in September of 2000. Tyler attended Salt Lake Community College, where he studied sociology and psychology.

His father served in the United States Air Force and spent the majority of his duty in the Philippines. Tyler appreciates the level of integrity and honesty involved when working with military members and their families. “I feel like they have a greater understanding of our freedom and the sacrifices that have been made to give them the opportunity to be a homeowner,” he explains, adding that he strives to have the same level of appreciation in every aspect of his life. Tyler feels it’s his responsibility to give every single borrower his respect, effort and attention.

Outside of the office, Tyler loves spending time with his wife and their three children, all of whom are involved in competitive sports. “I love being a part of that,” he says. Together, he and his wife own a Day Care/Learning Center which currently serves more than 90 children. He loves anything outdoors, especially during the fall.

Tyler believes in finishing what he starts and following through on his commitments. Justifiably, he is a multiple President's Club attendee and the most profitable manager in the purchase division for 2011. With your loan in Tyler’s hands, we are confident he will see it through to the end.
