Recommended to us by his long-term friend and our employee Dave Turville, Ryan Prestwich joined the Veterans First Mortgage® family in 2004 as a loan officer. He entered the mortgage industry with a vision of helping the company and veterans succeed, and has done so proudly in his role as manager since 2007. Prestwich studied at BYU’s Idaho campus and Utah Valley University, receiving a degree in English and a minor in business.

With friends in the military and both grandfathers serving in World War II and the Korean War as members of the United States Navy and Army respectively, Ryan has established a personal meaning for what he does. “It’s a small way to repay them for what they’ve done,” he explains. He feels veterans are a hard-working group of people and considers them a pleasure to work with. “They’re straightforward and down-to-business,” he declares. His goals at Veterans First Mortgage® are clear: service every veteran to the highest standards, putting their wants and needs above all else.

When he’s not consumed in the work place, he loves to travel with his wife. Their favorite destinations have been Greece, Italy, Haiti and Costa Rica. Together they are raising a daughter, and they enjoy making family trips to Lake Tahoe. Aside from family and traveling, Ryan loves a good book and some quiet time to write.

With four President’s Club trips to his credit, New York being his favorite, we feel that Ryan Prestwich is a large asset to the company.
