After Melissa Staples graduated from San Diego State University, she started working in home and auto insurance for AAA. She made the transition to Veterans First Mortgage® in the spring of 2016.

As her father-in-law and grandfather both served in the military, Melissa loves what she does now. Having the opportunity to help Veterans achieve the American dream of owning a home is the least she can do, she feels, to repay the service they’ve given for our country.

Melissa values honesty, and believes that good relationships are built with trust. She is responsible, dependable, and a hard worker and you can always count on her to stay disciplined and focused.

When she’s not closing loans for her clients, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors, including hiking, camping, and going to the beach. Having played soccer most of her life, she loves sports and particularly enjoys watching football.
