After moving to San Diego in 2005, Joe Rice began working for a commercial real estate sales and leasing company in La Jolla. From there he transitioned to an asset management company, where he worked closely with JPMorgan Chase Bank on closing properties. In early 2017, Veterans First Mortgage® recognized his assets and brought him on board, where he soon became Group Manager.

Joe’s grandfather is a Veteran of the United States Army, and fought during World War II. He also has an aunt and uncle who met while serving in the United States Air Force, and another uncle who served in the United States Marine Corps. Joe enjoys the interesting stories Veterans have to share from their travels and experiences, and admires their unique perspectives. As he himself is a South Africa-born United States citizen, he feels he shares their broader world view. Maintaining his clients’ dreams of homeownership in an efficient and painless manner is one of Joe’s primary aims each day.

Joe enjoys visiting the beach, and spending time with his family and friends. Because of his international upbringing, he can say he has had the opportunity to travel to 18 nations across Africa, North America, Europe and Asia, and he looks forward to exchanging a story or two.
