Eli Hernandez

Loan Officer San Diego, CA NMLS #2823428

Upon securing his Management and Leadership degree from Rider University, Elijah Hernandez began working in credit reporting as a customer service representative with Cenlar FSB. After four years there, he transitioned to working as a loan settlement associate for two years with S&P Global until early 2026, when he made the cross-country relocation from New York to San Diego and joined our team at Veterans First Mortgage.

One of Elijah’s primary motivations for such a move was to serve as the primary caretaker for a dear friend and Navy Veteran with a disability. This firsthand experience has given him a deep appreciation for the unique challenges that Veterans face every single day. He hopes to take one more worry away for his customers by making the homebuying process simpler for as many people as he can.

Elijah enjoys the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert, ensuring that military families have a knowledgeable professional in their corner. His goal is to provide the same level of commitment to his clients as they have shown in their service to our country. Elijah always approaches his work with commitment to authenticity and reliability, ensuring that every task is handled with an equal degree of care and precision. He believes in staying engaged and proactive, consistently looking for ways to streamline processes and provide clear value.

Music is a strong passion for Elijah, and he has learned to play several instruments. His main hobbies are golfing and fishing and he volunteers on Sundays at a local church to help feed the homeless.
