As a United States Marine Corps Corporal, Andres Castro has a level of understanding and trust with his clients who are fellow Veterans. He trained at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and specialized in supply and logistics. Upon retiring from the military, he worked in Medicare health insurance and then made the transition to Veterans First Mortgage in the early spring of 2026.
“I know what it means to complete a mission,” says Andres, adding, “My mission is to understand the benefits that are available for me and to assist other Veterans with all the support I can provide.” Andres also has two cousins who are serving in the United States Army and Air Force so the military family tie is strong.
Andres thrives in fast-paced environments that require agility, speed, and focus. His execution strategy includes rigorous time management, which allows him to multiple high-priority tasks efficiently. He is deeply committed to operational transparency, keeping stakeholders updated at every stage. His personal success is measured by the tangible, positive impact his work has on the company.
Staying active and going to area sporting events are some of the ways Andres likes to spend his free time. When he’s home relaxing, he’s spending quality time with his Husky, Messi.
