Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University in New York and promptly embarked on a cross country adventure, her sights set on the sandy shores of California. She set down roots and soon found employment as an education consultant at a proprietary software company, guiding parents of college-bound high school students through their required test preparation and registrations before transitioning to the lending industry in 2015. She began by helping contractor-clients and their customers with home improvement financing, and then segued over to mortgages. We welcomed her to the team at Veterans First Mortgage as a loan officer in the summer of 2024.
As Jessica’s grandfather escaped anti-Semitic persecution, a harbinger of Hitler’s rise and the Holocaust, from Hungary as a teenager and enlisted in the United States Army, there is tremendous significance for her in working to help Veterans. “Because of my grandfather’s bravery and dedication to pursuing a better life, I not only merely exist, but have been able to enjoy a life of relative luxury here in the United States,” she says. Jessica also has several friends who have served, and she has seen firsthand what their sacrifices mean. She feels a sense of purpose around doing everything she can to support and give back to our Veterans, and has made a personal pledge to stand firm in her moral and ethical code to fulfill that purpose.
Jessica is committed to doing everything she can to ensure her clients’ successes. Often that means being available after hours or on weekends, or diligently monitoring every step of the loan process to ensure accuracy and efficiency. One strategy she employs is collaborating with colleagues to produce the most optimal solutions. Paving the way to her customers’ attainment of their goals, and being an integral part of them living their best lives is the greatest reward.
Practicing yoga, enjoying the beaches with friends and family, and soaking up the California sunshine are just some of the ways Jessica enjoys her free time. She considers herself an avid lifelong learner, with science and nature being the topics that fascinate her most. Jessica is also a shameless foodie, and relishes any opportunity to indulge in a wide variety of culinary delights, from eastern to western and everything in between.
