Born and raised in Utah, Ian Calder has lived in Stansbury Park, Vernal, and Grantsville. He came to Veterans First in 2025 with eight years of sales and management experience to his credit. He is enthusiastic about learning the ins and outs of the lending industry, especially as it pertains to specializing in Veteran-specific products.
 
“Working for Veterans First means being part of something that actually makes a difference,” Ian says, adding, “I love knowing that what I do helps people – especially those who have served.” With an uncle in the United States Air Force and two best friends who’ve served in the Army and Air Force respectively, Ian understands how much service members have given to all of us.
 
Ian is reliable and hard-working, always focusing on doing what’s best for each client. He takes pride in following through on tasks, staying organized, and being a team member his fellow loan officers can count on.
 
As a young father, much of Ian’s time outside of work is dedicated to his son – and he wouldn’t have it any other way. They always look forward to camping trips in the Utah mountains, enjoying nature, and always try to take one or two trips a year to visit the national parks.
