Ben Peterson

Loan Officer Salt Lake City, UT NMLS #770224

Beginning his financial industry career with Wells Fargo in 2009 after earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration, Ben Peterson worked as a personal banker before making his segue in to the mortgage industry in 2013. Before joining Veterans First Mortgage®, he worked for another lender called SWBC, but it’s the opportunity to work directly with the VA and, most importantly, our Veterans, that appealed to Ben.

Ben’s stepfather and stepbrother both served in the military. The former was in the United States Navy and the latter in the United States Army. Going deeper into family history, Ben’s grandfather was an engineer on the Manhattan Project and his great grandfather was a Veteran of World War I.

With this strong military family background, Ben understands that Veterans return home with numerous challenges and believes they deserve the best services available. As a loan officer, he strives to do what he can to make the process as stress-free as possible for his clients, gathering as much information as he can up front and being available for questions throughout. Only when the keys are handed over does Ben consider his mission accomplished.

Ben is a father to six busy and adventurous children, so his life outside of work revolves around helping them succeed in their schoolwork and various activities. He loves to play and watch football, especially the Utah Utes, Boise State Broncos, and the Chicago Bears, with his boys.
